Honda-OSU STEM Award....

 

Shannon Roof, Chair of the Science Department, Angelica Rivera-Martinez, 
and Zenia Strickland, Director of Guidance

Congratulations to senior Angelica Rivera-Martinez, this year's Ready recipient of the Honda-OSU STEM award.  She was chosen on the basis of being the school's best STEM student.  Angelica is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Volunteer Club, Cheerleading Team, and Liturgical Choir.  A Ready Ambassador, Angelica is also involved with theatre and Castle Crew.  This award allows Angelica to apply for a $3,000 scholarship, open only to award recipients.

Gold Key in Art Award




Congratulations to junior Julianne Pece who has been awarded a Gold Key in Art as part of The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. Julianne's piece is entitled "Gosh Darn It Daryl, You Done Spilled All the Pomegranate Juice!" and is currently being exhibited at the Columbus College of Art and Design Canzani Center Acock Gallery through Friday, February 22.  The artwork was done as part of Julianne's independent art study course with Art Chair Barbara Stoll.
