IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

February 6, 2019: Complete School Counseling Requirement – Little Theater
March 22:  Submit the 
Intent to Participate Form to Guidance (Guidance will email to ODE)
February – March 22:  Apply to college/university dependent upon course selection

February 15 - April 12 by 5:00 p.m.: Parents Sign-up for a SAFE Account

Spring:  Students will be assessed for enrollment as needed

February – April 12: Parents apply for funding and upload college/university acceptance letter through their SAFE account

May 17: Funding award notifications will be available through the SAFE Account

 

Steps for Nonpublic School Students to Apply for College Credit Plus

The deadline is April 1 for nonpublic school students to advise the Ohio Department of Education of student’s participation for the following year, time is critical. Deadlines are firm.  (Please be aware that April 1st is a tentative free day, therefore Guidance will be sending letters of intent to ODE by March 22nd.)

 

STEP 1 - LEARN MORE ABOUT COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS AND COMPLETE YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELING REQUIREMENT

·         If you have any additional questions and/or missed the Informational meeting you may contact guidance.

STEP 2 - SUBMIT YOUR LETTER OF INTENT

·         If your child wishes to participate, complete and return a signed letter of intent to guidance by March 22nd. Note: Students must declare their intent to participate, even if they participated last year.

·         Once you provided your letter of intent, apply to the designated college according to the course you are planning to take.

·         Once admitted to a college under College Credit Plus, the college will send your student an admission letter. Upload a copy of the admission letter to your SAFE account. If your student gets an admission letter from more than one college you must upload each college's admission letter. 

STEP 3 - SUBMIT YOUR COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS FUNDING APPLICATION

·         All parents are required to establish a SAFE Account before they can apply for funding. You can create an account at any time between Feb. 15 - April 12

·         Anytime between Feb. 15 - April 12, you can log in to your SAFE Account and apply for College Credit Plus Funding to cover your child’s tuition costs. 

STEP 4 - RECEIVE YOUR AWARD LETTER

·         You will receive your funding award notification through your SAFE Account before May 17.  A copy of the funding letter must be submitted to guidance.
