A. Message from our Principal-

            First and foremost, Bishop Ready strives to meet the challenge of its mission statement, which encompasses spiritual formation, academic distinction, and social responsibility in the Catholic tradition.  Having said that, Bishop Ready embraces all persons and believes that all are called to witness and reflect the gospel message of Jesus Christ.  It is our job to show the way and to help our students understand and accept their roles as believers.

            Academically, Bishop Ready is proud of its long tradition of producing scholars, our students have matriculated and received degrees from Harvard, Ohio State, Ohio Dominican, The United States Military Academy, Notre Dame, and many other fine institutions of higher learning.  In addition, we believe that our academic program has enabled many of our students to reach beyond their accepted minimal standards; whether going on to a four-year college, a community college, or a technical school, Ready graduates are prepared to work hard to achieve their goals.

            At Bishop Ready, we marry spirituality to social responsibility.  While building on the religious foundations which our students bring with them, Bishop Ready advances their knowledge of Catholicism and gives this academic subject of religion a human dimension: Living the Faith.  By exploring moral issues, ethical questions, other religions, and the world in which we live, Bishop Ready makes religion a part of everyday live, not something relegated to Sundays or Holy Days.  Our students live their faith by their actions; they know that actions have consequences and that, yes, we are brothers keepers.

            No education is complete without a set of co- or extra- curricular activities to enhance the classroom experience.  At Bishop Ready, a full complement of organizations and activities exist to meet the interests of the most discerning student!  From a wide range of sports (both team and individual) to special interest clubs and academic societies, we offer something to engage even the most disinterested student!  Its hard not to get involved at Bishop Ready!

            And, finally, our school would not be the welcoming place that it is, the extended family that our students readily acknowledge and talk about, if it were not for the dedication of our staff and faculty, the interest and involvement of our parents and grandparents, and the investment of our schools office in our continued mission to provide a welcoming, challenging, safe place for our students.

            Visiting Bishop Ready through our web site is a pleasant journey, but we invite you to see us at our best: in person!  Please be sure to check back often for updates to our events calendar and join us for an activity.  We are very proud of our students and their enthusiasm for all things Ready is truly contagious!
