Giving to Bishop Ready…

There are a variety of ways for you to donate to Bishop Ready High School.  We count on our generous benefactors to provide financial assistance to our students and to enable us to plan for the future of Bishop Ready so that future Ready students may reap the benefit of a Ready education, made possible in part through your donations.  Just within the last few years, donors have made possible not only financial aid but also have provided the Wehinger Peace Courtyard, the bench and funding for our Homeless Jesus statue, the new Wiser Innovation Center, and the Cacchio Library.  Whether large or small, all donations are used to improve the educational experience and opportunities for our students.

The Ready Fund

Our annual fund encompasses the Ready Fund, with levels of giving from $25 (Knight of the Round Table) to $7,500+ (Founding Member Circle).  Payment may be made by check or credit card, is tax deductible, and goes toward the financial assistance fund for students.  Gifts to the Ready Annual Fund may be matched by the donor’s employer; information on match gifts varies by company and is available at the place of employment.  (This is a great way to increase your gift without increasing your personal donation.)

Endowment Fund

An endowment fund requires that the principal remain intact in perpetuity, or for a defined period of time, and is generally set up to fund a specific interest.

​

In an endowment fund, the principal is invested to create a source of income for Bishop Ready.

​

Donors may set up their own endowment fund for Bishop Ready, may contribute to the general Bishop Ready Endowment Fund, or may contribute through the Catholic Foundation.

​

Whether setting up a new endowment or donating to an existing Endowment Fund, we recommend that you consult with your financial planner or lawyer.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a way that a donor can leave money or assets to Bishop Ready upon the donor’s death. It is also a way to invest money so that the donor receives financial benefits during his/her lifetime and then bequeaths the remaining funds to Bishop Ready upon the donor’s death.

There are various financial instruments that can be used to best meet the needs of the donor. Bishop Ready encourages Planned Giving as a way to insure financial security for the donor while alive and for Bishop Ready’s students upon the donor’s death.

Major Giving

Typically, major gifts are those that are made for capital improvements or to fund one or more students for one-to-four years.  These gifts are especially necessary as we continually must upgrade our facilities and our outreach programs to insure that Bishop Ready continues to provide state-of-the-art courses and opportunities.

Memorial Giving/Honor Giving

Gifts may be given in any amount in memory of or in honor of a loved one, special teacher, friend, co-worker, or relative on any occasion (e.g., anniversary, birthday, graduation, etc.).  Annual Fund gifts may be designated in memory of or in honor of someone and theatre seats, plaques, and bricks may also be purchased as in memory or in honor gifts.
